Yeovil Town are currently being linked with Doncaster Rovers winger Andy Watson in the wake of Michael McIndoe's transfer listing at Huish Park. According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Watson has been in talks with manager Gary Johnson, although it quotes no sources to back up it's claims. Notts County and Barnsley are the other clubs named in the article.
The main flaw in the Yorkshire Evening Post's claims are that Watson has not featured in the pre-season friendlies so far, and with Scott Cousins and Jose Sebastiao both training with the Glovers, Johnson seems to have his mind on other left-sided players currently.
On a day that has seen many former Glovers feature in possible and actual transfer movement Jimmy Aggrey has been signed up by Welsh League side Total Network Solutions. The popular central defender will join a club that will be playing in the UEFA Cup this season.
Former right-back Simon Betts is currently trialling with Nationwide Conference side Chester City and Mark Wright is keen to sign him permanently, telling the Chester Standard: "A lot of people are after Simon. He looks comfortable on the ball, and he does a lot of good things. I was very impressed with what I saw of Simon and I'd be interested in seeing him at Chester."
Former Glovers trialist Abdul Senanu is now at Nationwide Conference side Woking on trial and played in their friendly against Staines last night, whilst Warren Patmore took just seven minutes to establish himself at Margate when he scored in a 4-0 win. Senanu played in the Glovers recent tour of Belgium, and another player who featured on that tour; midfielder Olivier Brassart is continuing his trial at Cambridge United.
Finally Ellis Wilmot and Joe Taylor, now of Chippenham and Tamworth respectively, will be travelling to Korea next month to take part in the World University Games.
