Following up their choice of Accrington Stanley v Nottingham Forest (see below, 23rd June) Sky Sports has now selected its second fixture from Round One of the Carling Cup for live broadcast: Leyton Orient v West Bromwich Albion. The game at Matchroom Stadium will take place on Thursday 24th August with a 7.45 p.m. kick-off.
The first tranche of Football League matches to be broadcast live has also been announced. Amidst the usual plethora of Championship League games there are two from League One :
Nottingham Forest v Scunthorpe United - Saturday 7th October, 12.15 p.m.
Brighton & Hove Albion v Blackpool - Sunday 8th October, 1.30 p.m.
For League One fixtures chosen for broadcast home teams will receive £30,000, away teams £10,000.
