Further to our article on Saturday, any suggestion that the club had resurrected an interest in Huddersfield Town winger Junior Mendes has now been firmly wiped out by the club. Manager Russell Slade had already denied having any interest in the player on Thursday, but the waters were muddied by Notts County manager Steve Thompson (the other one!) claiming on Saturday that the Glovers were chasing him.
Today Glovers General Manager John Milton has told the official site: "I can state that we have no interest in signing Junior Mendes, either now or in the future. He is not a player that we looking to sign."
That is hopefully the end of that.
