Adam Lockwood has revealed it was hard saying goodbye to Yeovil Town after being part of five amazing years in the club's history, but that he felt it was the right time for him to move on to pastures new.
It has been a very hard decision for me to make because the five years I have had at Yeovil have been brilliant. But I just felt it was the right time for me personally to face a new challenge. My decision was nothing against Yeovil Town because the club have been fantastic to me. This season has been great - a lot of people were writing us off but it has probably been the biggest achievement in the club's history.
The fans have been brilliant to me since day one and I want to thank them and everyone connected with the club for making me feel so welcome. That is why it has been such a hard decision for me to make. All I can do now is wish Yeovil all the very best for the future.
With Locky moving to League One rivals Doncaster Rovers he will of course be back at Huish Park next season, and admitted it would be an odd feeling :
It will be very strange and quite difficult, but it's part and parcel of moving on. You come up against your friends and it will be hard, but you just have to be professional about it.
