Yeovil Town have allowed three of their remaining coaching staff to leave the club. According to BBC local media representatives Alistair Durden and Chris Spittles, the club have told them that Paul Terry (First Team Coach), Steve Phillips (Goalkeeping Coach) and Yiannis Iosif (Football Operations Assistant) have all left the building.
Although the statement that they have been given has not been openly published by the football club, the club have told the BBC that they have received "a number of alternative offers" to invest in or purchase the club. Discussions are continuing with a small number of serious parties. Meanwhile on the subject of the first team manager's vacancy, the club plan to make an "early" appointment and claim they are "talking to several high-quality candidates" about the job.
The first team coaching departures mean that at this moment in time, first team physio Mike Micciche would appear to be the acting Number One in terms of the coaching team!
Information on the club's 2019-20 Season Ticket Package is to follow at some point next week.
Update: The club have now published the statement that accompanied this information. This reads as follows:
"Since the announcement last week that the proposed sale of the Club to Feliciana EFL Limited would not be proceeding, the Board of Directors and other senior staff have been working hard to build the best future for the Club, both for next season and beyond. A number of alternative offers to invest in or purchase the Club have been received and discussions are continuing with a small number of serious parties.
"The Club is talking to several high-quality candidates for the position of First Team Manager and we anticipate making an early appointment. The new manager will be involved in the reshaping of the Football Management team to meet the new challenges. Paul Terry (First Team Coach), Steve Phillips (Goalkeeping Coach) and Yiannis Iosif (Football Operations Assistant) will be leaving the Club with our thanks for their valued efforts.
"The normal pre-season football related activities have been continuing and the retained and released player list has been announced and the players have been informed. The Club has also been working hard to create next seasonís season ticket offer and the Club will be launching its 2019-20 packages early next week.
"Going forward, as the Club adjusts to National League football, fan support and involvement with the Club will continue to be very important and the Clubís Vision for the future will be discussed with the Supporters Alliance over the coming weeks. In the interim, we thank Glovers fans for their support and will continue to issue updates on all of the above matters as and when there are any further updates."
