Four of Yeovil Town's Second Year Scholars have registered for Exit Trials next month, which confirms that they will leave the club at the end of this season. The LFE trials will be held in May at Bradford City (Northern), Burton Albion (Midland) and Woking (Southern) across separate days, giving those players an open chance to potentially impress watching scouts on the night, as well as seeing video clips of their performances on the day compiled.
The LFE are still taking registrations for the Exit trials, but at present they have named midfielder Lewis Dix, attacking midfielder/winger Nestor Shako, striker Neville Nzembela and defender Tom Hayes on their list of available players. Circumstantial evidence would suggest that all four may have had their fate decided in early March - the first three were given loan spells with Paulton Rovers, whilst Hayes joined Wincanton Town on a loan agreement. The latter had already announced his own departure via Twitter.
Given that left-back Daniel Ojo and winger Gabriel Rogers were given professional contracts with the club until the summer of 2021, that just leaves goalkeeper Tommy Scott and midfielder Alex John of the remaining Second Year Scholars that there is no firm indication of their future plans out in the public domain. As revealed earlier today, John will be elsewhere during the trials week anyway, given that he has been given a Wales Under-19s call-up next week.
The very best of luck to Lewis, Nestor, Neville and Tom in their trials next week. At present it's not certain which of the three venues they'll be present at, which the LFE asking interested players to express a preferred location as part of the registration process.
