Officials for the League Two match between Swindon Town and Yeovil Town have been published by the Football League. The match takes place on Saturday 6th April 2019, with a 3.00p.m. kick-off at the County Ground. The man in charge of the fixture will be referee Thomas Bramall (South Yorkshire).
He was promoted to the National League at the start of the 2016-17 season, and spent two years at that level before getting a quick promotion to the Football League in the summer of 2018. He is a PE Teacher from Sheffield. Obviously with him being brand new to refereeing at this level, we've only had him three for Yeovil Town matches as a man in the middle. So far he's taken charge of 39 matches since his promotion to this level, with a very reasonable looking 90 yellow cards and three red cards.
The first was the August 2018 game against Grimsby Town which ended in a 1-0 victory for the Glovers. We can't recall any significant controversy about the game, with just one booking for each side during the match. He then took charge of the October 2018 match against Carlisle United ar Brunton Park. That game also ended in a 1-0 victory, with zero bookings, and not a lot of involvement from him.
The result on the field of play for our most recent meeting involving him was not as good. The February 2019 match against Oldham Athletic ended up in a 4-1 defeat at Boundary Park. Here we recall Latics fans getting very irate with the decision-making in the first half in particular, with their view that the Glovers were putting in one or two rather robust tackles. But as Mr Bramall ended up booking four of our players, and none of theirs, they probably couldn't complain too loudly. Meanwhile, we were more concerned about the scoreline than the referee to notice him.
Mr Bramall will be assisted by Matthew Smith (Durham) and Adrian Tranter (Dorset). The Fourth Official will be Leigh Crowhurst (Sussex).
