The Football Association have confirmed the suspension of Yeovil Town right-back Craig Alcock, following Saturday's 1-3 defeat against Grimsby Town. Alcock was given his marching orders by referee Charles Breakspear for two bookable offences, leaving the Glovers down to ten men for the second game running, for the final 26 minutes of the match. As a result, Craig will serve a one match suspension on Tuesday night when the club travel to play Oldham Athletic at Boundary Park.
The suspension creates a bit of a headache, given that fellow right-back Tom James is serving a four match suspension, and will sit out his second game tomorrow night. In addition, Chelsea loanee Joshua Grant is currently out with a foot injury, with no immediate word on when he is likely to return. As such, Bevis Mugabi will almost certainly move into the right-back slot for tomorrow's game, with Alcock available again for Saturday's trip to Forest Green Rovers.
Alcock became Yeovil Town's fifth red card of the season, with Tom James having been dismissed twice, along with Jordan Green and manager Darren Way. In the latter case, we're still waiting for the FA to determine any sanction.
