Officials for the League Two match between Macclesfield Town and Yeovil Town have been announced by the Football League. The match takes place on Saturday 24th November 2018, with a 3.00p.m. kick-off at Moss Rose. The man in charge of the fixture will be referee Paul Marsden (Lancashire).
Mr Marsden is a new kid on the block, having been promoted to the Football League during the summer of 2018. As such we've never seen him before as a referee, with just a small handful of assistant and fourth official meetings in the past. He's so far taken charge of 14 matches, with 31 yellow cards and two red cards to his name. He has been to Moss Rose before, having looked after the League Two match between Macclesfield Town and Cheltenham Town, which ended with just a single yellow card being dished out.
He is an assistant principal at Hodgson Academy in Poulton, Lancashire and was given just one season at National League level before being promoted. Aged just 33 at the time of his promotion, he was the Fourth Official in the National League Wembley Play-Off Final that saw Tranmere Rovers beat Boreham Wood 2-1 in May 2018.
Mr Marsden will be assisted by Matthew Jones (Staffordshire) and Steven Rushton (Staffordshire). The Fourth Official will be Marvyn Amphlett (Worcestershire).
