Yeovil Town loanee Diallang Jaiyesimi has had an operation on his knee this week. The Norwich City winger/striker was seriously injured during the 1-1 draw against Milton Keynes Dons last month, and the prognosis has been an anterior cruciate ligament injury that is expected to keep him out for the whole of the 2018-19 season. The Glovers had agreed a full season loan deal with the Canaries, but it seems highly unlikely that we will see him back at Huish Park during the remainder of his deal.
Although there was a slight delay following the September 25th injury, caused by a poor tackle by Milton Keynes midfielder Alex Gilbey, DJ has now gone under the knife, and on Wednesday tweeted that he had come out the other side. The majority of ACL injuries have a six to nine month recovery time in place, thus meaning that the 2019-20 pre-season period is going to be Jaiyesimi's realistic target for a return to kicking a football.
Diallang Jaiyesimi gives the thumbs up after he has a knee operation earlier this week.
