Yeovil Town have been given a home draw in the Second Round of the Somerset Premier Cup. The Glovers will face Toolstation Western Premier League Club Shepton Mallet in a match that is scheduled to be played at Huish Park. The tie comes after the Glovers won 4-0 against Bishop Sutton last Tuesday, thanks to a hat-trick from Devon Arnold.
The full draw reads as follows:
Welton Rovers vs Bath City
Cheddar vs Frome Town
Yeovil Town vs Shepton Mallet
Wincanton Town vs Taunton Town
Clevedon Town vs Bridgwater Town
Portishead Town vs Chard Town
Radstock Town vs Paulton Rovers
Hengrove Athletic vs Weston-super-Mare
All ties will be played during the week commencing November 12th, with Tuesday 13th November the most likely date. The Glovers first team have not got a midweek fixture during that period, with the tie expected to take place around three days after the FA Cup First Round date. As such, there shouldn't be the scheduling problem that the First Round created, with both the First Team and the Academy team that took the responsibility of the County Cup fixture, playing concurrently. However, we'd still expect this to be an Academy-led fixture on the night.
