Yeovil Town have completed a move for Middlesbrough midfielder Alex Pattison. The 20 year old is a product of their Academy system, and has had previous loan experience with National League North side York City. He has signed a season-long deal with the club, for the 2018-19 season.
Born in Darlington on September 6th 1997, he was signed by Middlesbrough at the age of nine years old. He progressed through to their Under-18s where he was nominated for the Academy League's Goal of the Month in September 2014 for a strike against Manchester United, and gradually broke into their Under-23 line-up.
Middlesbrough co-opted him into their senior squad for pre-season tours in the summer of 2016 and 2018. His 2017-18 season was disrupted through a broken ankle in July 2017, but when he regained fitness they put him out on loan to York City in December 2017.
Alex becomes Yeovil Town's tenth signing of the summer. So far, the list of arrivals have included Norwich City loan winger Diallang Jaiyesimi, former Notts County left-back Carl Dickinson who has been signed permanently, Chelsea loan keeper Nathan Baxter, former Inverness Caledonian Thistle centre-back Gary Warren, ex-Blackpool and Barnsley midfielder Sessi D'Almeida, ex-West Ham United utility player Korrey Henry, Brentford loan midfielder Reece Cole and former Birmingham City midfielder Wes McDonald.
