Yeovil Town have changed their expectations of what sort of a squad will be travelling to play Gillingham Town this evening. Yesterday, the club put out a message on their website stating that:
"Darren Way's first-team are unlikely to be involved with the Under-18s poised to take on the Gills".
At some point today, that message has been updated to indicate that the squad that is travelling will contain a number of first team players, and now says:
"A mixture of Under-18s, trialists and first-team players will make the journey to Dorset".
Gillingham Town have also put out a message, stressing their belief that there will be some first team players turning out for tonight's match:
"There is rumour that we are playing Yeovil Town U18s tonight. This is NOT the case. We are playing Yeovil Town 1st Team. They do have quite a few injuries, etc, so the team will be bolstered by some youth players and triallists, as you would expect for a pre-season friendly".
The above would imply that the Glovers have had a change of plans, and that the squad that will travel will be closer to that picked for last Tuesday night's trip to Dorchester Town.
