Another week, and another football club is linked with a move for Yeovil Town defender Tom James. The list of media outlets claiming that the former Cardiff City full-back is attracting interest from their local clubs is steadily growing, and Bristol City are the latest to be added to that list.
The Bristol Evening Post's online presence has claimed the 21 year old is of interest to manager Lee Johnson, thus joining claims on the rumourmill that AFC Bournemouth, Swansea City and Celtic (according to the Independent) along with Brentford and Aston Villa (according to West London Sport) were after him, bringing the total to six clubs.
Once again, there are no quotes and no sources to back up the claims, with the chain of 'interested' clubs now dating back to mid-March, but without any of them being confirmed. Bristol City were also the main club linked with fellow defender Shaun Donnellan, who has played five times for the Glovers since his January arrival from West Bromwich Albion.
It's highly unlikely that all of these will be true, but we won't know for sure until we get into the summer months when the transfer window reopens. Both players remain under contract at Huish Park until the summer of 2019, meaning that if there is any actual interest, then the Yeovil Town board will need to be informed first.
