Yeovil Town's EFL Trophy Semi-Final against Shrewsbury Town has been postponed. The match has been called off due to the poor weather in Shropshire, and the forecast for sub-zero temperatures in the area. A statement issued by Shrewsbury this morning, following an 11.00a.m. pitch inspection, reads:
"GAME OFF: Tonight's game with Yeovil Town has been postponed. The pitch has been covered but the forecast sub zero weather would mean the pitch freezing before the game. The decision has been taken with the safety of players and spectators in mind."
The match will now be played on Tuesday 6th March, with a 7.45p.m. kick-off. The match will still be covered by Sky Sports as a live game.
