Saturday saw Yeovil Town Under-18s go down to defeat against Forest Green Rovers in a Youth Alliance fixture over the weekend just gone. In a match played in Cirencester, the Gloucestershire side asserted their authority with a goal in each half that gave them a two goal cushion.
The first came early on during the opening period when Jordan Stevens fired home from the edge of the box. They could have been further ahead, having struck the woodwork twice during the match, but doubled their lead during a spell of Yeovil pressure in the second half - catching the Glovers on the counter-attack, with Jordan Stevens getting his second of the morning.
Yeovil managed to pull a late goal back when Jack Rice-Lethaby fired home from a narrow angle, but with little time remaining they couldn't force the draw.
Final Score: Forest Green Rovers Under-18s 2 Yeovil Town Under-18s 1.
Scorers: Jordan Stevens (1-0), Jordan Stevens (2-0), Jack Rice-Lethaby (2-1).
