14 July 2017 : Roberts Leaves Swansea For Boro Loan Deal
Former Yeovil Town loanee Connor Roberts has gone out on loan to a Championship club for the 2017-18 season. The 21 year old has teamed up with former Swansea City boss Garry Monk in a season-long loan for Middlesbrough, three days after he played for Swansea in a pre-season friendly at Barnet.

That crosses Connor off any lists that Yeovil Town supporters (or management teams) may have had for the Neath-born player, who has a contract at the Liberty Stadium until the summer of 2019. Yeovil management team Darren Way and Terry Skiverton were at the Tuesday night match at the Hive Stadium - whether they would have been aware of interest from Middlesbrough at that time isn't known.

Roberts made 54 appearances for Yeovil during the 2015-16 season, but had a rather less successful loan spell with Bristol Rovers during the 2016-17 season. It would appear that Monk doesn't see that as an issue.
