League One side Peterborough United have completed the signing of former Yeovil Town loanee Liam Shephard. The Swansea City Academy graduate has penned a two year deal with the London Road club after spending the first two weeks on trial with them in Spain, as well as playing in a pre-season friendly against St Albans City on Saturday.
Peterborough say that they have completed all paperwork, with the exception of international clearance from the Wales FA, and plan to field him in a second pre-season friendly at Nuneaton tomorrow evening. Manager Grant McCann says that he sees the 22 year old as a versatile player:
"Liam is a good lad and a good character, he has bought into everything in the last few weeks and that was extremely important. He can operate in a couple of different positions and I am really happy that we have been able to get it done."
Peterborough's move means an end to the three loan spells that Shephard had at Yeovil Town, whilst on the books of Swansea, that saw him make 72 appearances, scoring one goal for the club.
