The mystery midfielder training at Huish Park yesterday has been revealed by this morning's Western Daily Press to be Portsmouth central midfielder Marc Wilson.
Wilson was born on 17th August 1987 and has represented various Northern Ireland sides at junior level, but has recently switched to south of the border and has become a member of the Republic Of Ireland Under 18s squad. He plays regularly for Portsmouth's Reserve side.
Early indications are positive that Thommo can persuade the 18 year old and his boss Harry Redknapp to stay in South Somerset for the next 48 hours so the club can continue to take a close look at him.
More on this later in the day.
