As a footnote to Saturday's incident during the second half of the League Two match against Cheltenham Town, Gloucestershire Police have provided clarification on the outcome from their perspective. They have confirmed that there was just one person ejected from Whaddon Road around the 75th minute of the game from the Yeovil Town end of the stadium. There were no arrests in connection with the incident, with that one person just told to leave the stadium.
Our understanding is that at least one other Yeovil Town supporter was asked to leave the stand area by the Cheltenham stewards, but from the police report this confirms that they were allowed to return to their seat, presumably after CCTV footage had been viewed. In theory Gloucestershire Police or their Avon and Somerset counterparts could take action later if they spot anything on the video, but certainly on the day itself they chose not to, with the ejection being a civil matter (rather than a police matter) as part of Cheltenham's stewarding.
