Yeovil Town players Phil Jevons and Kevin Amankwaah have vowed to not let this week's events off the field affect their performances on it, as they prepare for Saturday's trip to Blackpool with the losers certain to end Saturday in the relegation zone. The duo spoke to BBC Radio Bristol today and both said they would be putting the resignation of former Chief Executive David Webb out of their minds.
Kevin stressed the importance of team spirit explaining: "We have meetings before training and we agreed the important thing for us is to stick together. We are trying to stick together as much as possible. The team spirit is still there. Even though we have not been getting the results as a team, that team spirit is still there."
Jevo added that he was more interested in what was happening on the field of play: "All of those sort of things are out of our hands so we just get on with the games. We just put it out of our heads and enjoy our training. Hopefully we can put all that behind us and not worry about it and concentrate on what is happening on the pitch."
