Former Yeovil Town winger Jordan Gibbons appears to be attempting some sort of a comeback in the game. The 23 year old former Queen's Park Rangers player had been released by Yeovil Town at the end of the 2015-16 season, and in July 2016 announced that he was retiring from the professional game, despite trialling for Boreham Wood in pre-season, with a hip injury having badly scuppered his time at Huish Park, restricting him to just four appearances.
Gibbons did indicate that he was leaving the door open to a possible return on a part-time basis. He's now signed for Isthmian League Premier Division side Wingate and Finchley, who play in North-West London in the Barnet area. So far, Gibbons has made one appearance for them, featuring as a 39th minute substitute against Canvey Island on November 19th. He hasn't featured in the two fixtures that have followed, but their club have subsequently confirmed that he is the same player who turned out for QPR and Yeovil, and has registered to play for them.
