17 January 2006 : Thommo Says No To Mohamoud
Glovers boss Steve Thompson has today stated that he will not be following up his interest in Charlton Athletic midfielder Abdigani Mohamoud. The 18 year old played 45 minutes of a Reserve team match yesterday but evidently did not impress, and was replaced by Youth Teamer Richard Cullingford in the second half.

Speaking to the Western Daily Press Thommo explained: "I don't think he would be ready for our first team at the moment."

The Yeovil boss also stated that he wanted to see more from out of favour striker Pablo Bastianini. The Argentinian played in central midfield alongside Mohamoud with Thommo no doubt trying out options for a player that has seen the door heavily shut by the successful partnership built up by Phil Jevons and Matt Harrold, meaning that Pablo has mainly been an unused substitute or even out of the sixteen on occasions.

Thommo told the WDP: "Pablo had a good game and played well in midfield. But I would need to see more of him to convince me that he could play in midfield at League One level."
