Former Yeovil Town defender Dan Seaborne's time at Coventry City has come to an end, just seven months after he left Huish Park. The 27 year old had been taken on by the Sky Blues in January, after he had impressed in a seven game loan spell at the end of 2013. However, just 14 starts and three substitute appearances later, Coventry have agreed to sever his contract with the club, despite him having a year left on his current contract.
The Coventry Telegraph suggests that the arrival of former Sheffield Wednesday and Plymouth Argyle defender Reda Johnson, and his immediate appointment as their club captain, coupled with manager Steven Pressley stating that he is on the look-out for another defender, means that Seaborne was heading down the pecking order rapidly. There's no current indication of where he may be off to next.
