Yeovil Town's plans to launch their 2014-15 home and away kits have suffered a delay. The Glovers had planned to use a new home strip as part of last Saturday's pre-season friendly against Reading, but instead the team have continued to use the 2013-14 kit during both that match and Tuesday night's Bristol Rovers friendly.
Now the club have indicated that the replica home and away kit will only be on sale in 'late August', thus representing a delay of around a month against the original timeline. Although the club are planning to publish a graphical design of what the kit will look like, it seems that fans will not get their hands on the physical shirts until the season is well under way.
It's not clear at this stage whether the first team will receive their own shirts in time for League One's season kick-off on August 9th, or whether they'll also have to continue with last season's strip. The delay is being blamed on 'unforeseen circumstances' at kit manufacturers Sondico, with the implication that there has been a 'quality' issue in what has been received so far.
