Doncaster Rovers, who are Yeovil Town's first opponents for the 2014-15 season, have received their initial allocation of tickets for their trip to Huish Park, which they will be putting on sale to their Season Ticket Holders from next Monday. The two sides meet on Saturday 9th August, and at present it looks as though the Copse Road away terrace will not be open for this fixture, with an initial batch of 350 tickets being passed to the Keepmoat Stadium ticket office which are all earmarked for the Screwfix East Stand.
The closure of the away terrace was a relatively common affair for League One matches in the lead-up to the club's promotion to the Championship in 2013, particularly for clubs with smaller away followings. However, for the 2013-14 season, the away terracing stayed open for all Championship fixtures, with several clubs bringing away followings in excess of 2,000 supporters.
In the case of Doncaster, they are usually one of the better supported away sides in third tier football, and so they may exhaust the initial 350 ticket allocation. If they sell more than 500 tickets, then doubtless the club will open up the away terrace, but as things stand, it's seating only. Doncaster Rovers fans wanting to buy advance tickets need to go via the Keepmoat Ticket Office.
