Yeovil Town manager Gary Johnson has said that he does not expect any significant changes to his squad for Saturday's home match against Bolton Wanderers. The Glovers had just two players missing for Tuesday night's trip to Wigan Athletic, and they returned home from that long trip to the North-West without any significant new problems.
As the club turn into their final ten matches of the 2013-14 season, only Liam Davis (broken toe) and Ruben Palazuelos (hamstring) are currently receiving significant treatment for injuries. Johnson has told BBC Somerset that he would like to see them back but is more than happy to stick with those he took to the DW Stadium if he has to:
"You want everybody back so that you can have a headache in choosing from the players that you want to play a particular game, because there are tactics and there are players that suit certain tactics. The Championship is a real tactical division. There are knocks and niggles but I don't think there's enough to warrant anyone who was involved at Wigan dropping out on Saturday. When you get a good result and a good performance you don't generally get too many people coming back injured. They want to play in the next game."
Palazuelos pulled out of the warm-ups at Loftus Road on Saturday with a problem, and ended up being an ultra-late withdrawal from the Yeovil Town teamsheet. He missed the midweek trip to Wigan entirely, but Johnson said that on Thursday the Spaniard was due to see a specialist to see if he was ready to resume full training:
"We're quite pleased with his progress. We're taking him to see somebody today to give him the thumbs up or the thumbs down, so that we know whether to push him or not. But if he's not then we were happy with our squad of players that went up to Wigan. We'll mix and match, and we'll have a look at that."
The only other recent injury concern - Joel Grant is understood to be okay, despite being withdrawn from action at the tail end of the first half during Tuesday's 3-3 draw at Wigan. Grant had been suffering with a back problem prior to that and came off the field somewhat slowly, but has not had any significant reaction from that game.
Gary did hint on Tuesday night that he was still searching for an extra loan signing in the wake of Duane Holmes and John Lundstram returning to their parent clubs. However, he has given no hints today that he is likely to bring in extra numbers before Saturday. He has until next Thursday at 5.00p.m. to make his decision one way or another before the loan transfer window closes.
