Yeovil Town goalkeeper Matt Cafer is to leave the club. The former Youth Teamer has been at the club on a half-season development contract but has not been considered for First Team or Reserve Team matches, instead getting experience with Western League side Willand Rovers and more recently Southern League side Weymouth.
Matt's arrangements with the club were up at the turn of the year, and that deal will now not be extended. The player has explained via his Twitter account that he believes that to be in his own interests to do so:
"I have come to a mutual agreement to leave Yeovil Town - had a good two-and-a-half years there, but it's time to get playing and what's meant to be will be. Would like to thank all the players, staff and fans for everything and wish the lads all the best for remainder of season."
We wish Matt all the best, and hope he breaks through at a professional level with another club in the future.
