Yeovil Town will include former Bristol City defender, and ex-Swindon Town midfielder Simon Ferry in their first team squad that travels to Poole Town tomorrow. As covered on these pages in the last couple of days, both players have been strongly linked with the pair of players who were both released by their former clubs at the end of last season. For full profiles of the pair, see the earlier articles below.
The Glovers will take a near full strength side to Tatnam Farm for their first pre-season friendly, with only left-backs Jamie McAllister and Nathan Ralph missing from the squad - both have slight injury problems at present. We'd expect most players to be given 45-60 minutes each in what is likely to be a hot day in South Dorset. A third trialist included is Seth Nana Omuri-Twumasi, however there is no place for Dorchester Town striker Kieffer Moore, with the Magpies obviously able to dictate when he is allowed to be involved as one of their contracted players.
The club have named the travelling squad as follows:
Yeovil Town: Marek Stech, Gareth Stewart, Luke Ayling, Byron Webster, Lewin Nyatanga, Seth Nana Omuri-Twumasi, Joel Grant, Simon Ferry, Ed Upson, Sam Foley, Paddy Madden, James Hayter, Sam Hoskins, Kevin Dawson, Joe Edwards, Lewis Young, Joe Jones.
