Conference South side Dorchester Town are stating that their striker Kieffer Moore, who has been training with Yeovil Town, is now going on trial with Charlton Athletic. The 20 year old former Truro City player scored 20 goals last season across both clubs, and in doing so has attracted interest from a number of clubs in the Football League.
Moore went on trial at The Valley in May, and although he headed to Huish Park this week, this appears to have reignited the Addicks' interest in the player. Magpies manager Phil Simkin has claimed that his player is now back in London so they can have a second look. He tells the Dorset Echo that he expects Moore to leave eventually, and that it is a case of securing the best package for all parties:
"Kieffer is back on trial at Charlton at the moment but there are a lot of clubs interested in him as well. Charlton are obviously very interested and we will have to wait and see what transpires there. We are due to return to pre-season training on Tuesday and we will just take it from there. All we can do is make sure we handle it right by being fair to the boy and making sure we do well out of it too. I think itís obvious he is going somewhere, it just depends on where."
With Moore under contract at the Avenue Stadium until the summer of 2014, any interested club would have to pay a transfer fee for his services, despite him having only signed for the Magpies in February of this year. He was training with the Glovers during the week just gone, and was present at Sherborne School across Thursday and Friday.
