A Yeovil Town Supporters team will be taking on the Exeter City Supporters team this coming weekend. The match is the annual fixture between the two clubs staged for the rights to claim the Adam Stansfield Memorial Trophy. The match will take place on Saturday 18th May, with an 11.30a.m. kick-off, and will be staged at Horsdon Park, which is home of Elmore FC.
Address: Elmore FC, Horsdon Park, Heathcoat Way, Tiverton, EX16 4DB.
The ground is of particular significance given that it is the club at which Adam was spotted by Yeovil Town, making his rise from Western League football, and into the Conference National division. It also carries the Adam Stansfield Stand as its main stand at the ground, giving a fitting surrounding for what will be the fifth match between the two clubs. Currently Exeter are the holders, but only got hold of the trophy for the first time in the last fixture.
Entrance to the match is free of charge, although donations to the Adam Stansfield Foundation will be encouraged and appreciated. There will be a Foundation stall present at the match selling merchandise, whilst the players will be giving £10.00 each towards the Foundation.
Elmore's clubhouse will be open, and they will be screening the League Two Play-Off Final between Bradford City and Northampton Town after the match, at 1.30p.m. for those who fancy a post-match social occasion with the Grecians and Elmore supporters.
Finally, a reminder of Yeovil Town supporters plans to give their own tribute to Adam at the League One Play-Off Final on Sunday, as well as an auction for six signed shirts which you can bid for on eBay. Follow the links below for full details.
