Luke Oliver is going out on loan to Woking, where he will meet up with Stephen Reed who is already there. Oliver was signed from Woking over the summer so they know what to expect, instigated the loan deal, and presumably would therefore only want him if they felt he had an active role to play. Yeovil Town manager Gary Johnson said :
Luke is progressing very well with us but we are not quite ready to put him in the first team yet. We always felt we would have to wait for a while before picking him for the first team but we need him to get regular games as well.
He will continue to train with us but play at Woking for the next month. Woking contacted us to see if there was any possibility so we agreed to let him go back for a month. I'm very positive about the move. He has done very well and we are very pleased with him, but for a month he needs the games and he is progressing nicely.
The second loan is of Dale Williams who goes to Ladysmead, also for a month. There have been a good number of loan deals with Tiverton Town over the last few seasons, particularly of younger players. It is presumably felt they are at the right level in the pyramid, but also perhaps more importantly Tivvy have a reputation for playing football the right way. Johnson said :
Dale Williams is going to Tiverton after playing in our Youth team. Tiverton manager Martin Rogers rang to enquire about Dale and we feel it is a good starting point for Dale and I'm sure he will do well at that level.
That should be it for a week as with the closure of the transfer window it seems there also comes a suspension of loan dealing - up until Thursday September 8th. At that point it would appear loan deals can then be instigated again as Gary stated :
Today is not the deadline for loan deals so I might have some movement on that front after September 8th.
