Yeovil Town have issued Portsmouth supporters with special instructions for the sale of tickets for the forthcoming League One fixture between the two clubs. The match takes place on Tuesday 2nd October at Huish Park, with a 7.45p.m. kick-off.
Advance tickets for Pompey fans will ONLY be sold from the Huish Park Ticket Office - the club will not be releasing tickets down to Fratton Park for the game.
Although no reason has been given for this, we suspect that this relates to the uncertainty surrounding Portsmouth's future, and exactly which trading company Yeovil Town would be dealing with by the time the fixture takes place, given that administrator Trevor Birch has set a deadline of Friday 14th September for either Portpin or the Portsmouth Supporters Trust to satisfy both the terms and conditions of the CVA and the Membership Criteria laid down by the Football League.
As for the match itself, Pompey fans wanting to purchase tickets should go direct to the Huish Park Ticket Office on 01935-847888 to buy by credit/debit card. There will be 1,500 Copse Road Terrace places made available to supporters, along with a small number (usually around 400-600) of seats in the Screwfix Stand that are sold only to seniors, ambulant disabled and families.
For Yeovil Town supporters, there are no special arrangements, although if Pompey do sell out their allocation, then expect plenty of quizzing from Ticket Office staff if you're a Glovers fan living in the Hampshire area - we'd recommend you apply early if you're not on the Ticket Office database.
