Yeovil Town have named the footballers who will try to prove that they can also be cricketers tomorrow night, as they play a pre-season friendly with a twist. Taking on North Perrott Cricket Club in a twenty overs a side match, starting at 6.00p.m. on Thursday evening, the following 13 players and management will be travelling to the game:
Squad: Luke Ayling, Gavin Williams, Byron Webster, Ed Upson, Keanu Marsh-Brown, Lewis Young, Nathan Ralph, Sam Foley, Curtis Haynes-Brown, James Hayter, Terry Skiverton, Gary Johnson and Richard Hinds.
Sadly it looks as though former Gloucestershire Second XI cricketer Reuben Reid won't be involved. The striker did not play in last night's 3-0 win over Dorchester Town, suggesting that he's probably carrying a knock - he was present at the game as a spectator.
The North Perrott cricket ground is situated in Willis Lane in North Perrott. Take the A30 westbound out of Yeovil, then at the turn-off for Haselbury Plucknett, take the A3066. Go through Haselbury Plucknett. When you reach North Perrott, turn right into Willis Lane which is situated opposite the North Perrott Fruit Farm shop. The cricket ground is on the left hand side. If you get as far as Perrot Hill School then you've gone too far, so turn around. Parking is available at the cricket club.
There will be a bar open at the game from 6.00p.m. - they've had a recent beer festival at the club, so expect a few unusual selections to be available.
