Tomorrow evening's opponents Charlton Athletic have signed up two new players on loan in time for the Tuesday night League One game at The Valley. They have taken 24 year old Millwall striker Dany N'Guessan and Queens Park Rangers left-winger Lee Cook on loan until the end of the 2011-12 season as they attempt to get themselves over the finishing line for their likely promotion back to the Championship.
N'Guessan is a former Auxerre Youth Academy player, who has played alongside Charlton players Yann Kermorgant Michael Morrison at Leicester City, as well as Addicks boss Chris Powell and so is well known them. He has been drafted in after Charlton allowed Leon Clarke to head out on loan to League Two side Crawley Town.
Cook is a 29 year old, who has already featured at League One level this season as part of a ten game loan spell with Leyton Orient. This will be his second spell at The Valley, having had a 2007-08 loan spell whilst on the books of Fulham. He has also played for Aylesbury United and Watford, and has made one League Cup appearance for QPR this season.
With Danny Haynes suffering from hamstring problems, and goalscoring midfielder and club captain Johnnie Jackson having limped out of their last match with an ankle problem, both players could challenge for a position in their squad for the match against the Glovers. Winger Danny Green who scored the winner in the Boxing Day match at Huish Park, has been out with a shoulder injury, but reported as being ready to return.
