Yeovil Town Football Club Limited have now submitted plans for development of the land to the north side of the Huish Park stadium to South Somerset District Council. In documents submitted to the council on January 31st 2012, they request Outline Planning Permission for a new Food Store behind the Copse End of the stadium, in a project believed to involve retail company Chris Dawson Superstores (CDS) who own retail chain The Range.
The SSDC website records the application as "The erection of a Class A1 food retail unit, new and altered access, car parking and servicing, landscaping together with public open space"
They expect a decision on the application to be made by May 1st 2012, although our experience is that this is merely a target date and not a guarantee that such a decision will be reached on that date.
There's a fair bit of reading to be done - for those that wish to pile through it all, the full document set can be found via the link below. We'll provide some further analysis on the documents that pick the meat from the bones in due course.
