19 November 2011 : Glovers Youth Lose Out At Cheltenham
Yeovil Town's Youth Team suffered a heavy defeat in Gloucestershire this morning. Returning to Youth Alliance League action just three days after the midweek FA Youth Cup win at Farnborough, the Glovers sent what was largely an Under-16s side up to play Cheltenham Town and there's little doubt that the final 5-0 scoreline was influenced by the age and experience of the players facing a much older side.

With the Glovers likely to select a strong 'professional' side made up of first team fringe/squad players for the Somerset Premier Cup game against Shepton Mallet on Tuesday, and the Under-18s in action against Charlton Athletic at Welling United's Park View Road ground on the Wednesday, a spot of squad rotating is being utilised for the three fixtures.

Final Score: Cheltenham Town Youth Team 5 Yeovil Town Youth Team 0.
