Yeovil Town's last home match was the 1-3 home defeat against Bury, that saw them slide into the relegation zone, and the Shakers leap above them. In the worst performance of the 2011-12 season, Bury easily won the match, outpassing the Glovers on the day.
Man of the match voting saw a fair spread of votes, with left-winger Alan O'Brien and right-back Luke Ayling considered to be two of the better players out there. Goalkeeper Jed Steer was also excused from what went on during the afternoon, and the overall winner of the poll was striker Kieran Agard, whose opening goal was the only bright spot of a day that got darker the longer it went on.
It's worth noting that with the Man of the Match voting, we actually received 50 votes in total. However, a significant number of voters declined to provide either a complete top three, and on a number of occasions refused to nominate anyone at all, deciding to just award match performance and entertainment marks. A total of 15 voters decided not to submit all three of the available player options.
