Yeovil Town have completed a deal to sign New Zealand international Rory Fallon today. The former Plymouth Argyle player has signed a 'short term' contract according to BBC Radio Bristol who have been down at Huish Park for the club's press day today. Fallon was released by the Pilgrims at the end of last season and so arrives at the club as a free agent, having played in two of the club's pre-season friendlies.
Fallon, who represented New Zealand at the last World Cup, is a 29 year old old fashioned target man striker, who started his career with Barnsley then moved on to play for Swindon Town, during which he had a loan spell with the Glovers across February and March 2005. A move to Swansea City lasted one season before he headed to Home Park where he spent four seasons, including a loan spell with Ipswich Town last season.
He has 10 full caps for New Zealand, and scored three goals, including the one that sent them through to a World Cup Final stage for the first time.
The BBC state that Rory has signed a one month contract at Huish Park.
