Yeovil Town's goalkeeping coach has been registered as a player for the remainder of the 2010-11 season. Following the departure of Richard Martin earlier this week, the Glovers have been left with only one keeper on their books, in Bristol City keeper Stephen Henderson.
As suggested in yesterday's news, one option the club had was to register their goalkeeping coach, who played for Welling United earlier in the season, as a back-up keeper much in the same way that Ben Roberts was used before his departure over Christmas.
That has now been done meaning that Gareth will be the No.2 keeper for the last ten League One matches. The bulk of Gareth's professional career was spent with AFC Bournemouth, although he did also have a spell with Dorchester Town towards the end of his main playing career before signing for Welling.
