Two former Yeovil Town loan players have been included in the latest England Under-21 squad. Reading goalkeeper Alex McCarthy and Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Steven Caulker are both named in a 31 man squad that manager Stuart Pearce has selected for a double-header that is to be staged towards the end of this month.
The Under-21s will travel to Viborg for an away match in Denmark on Thursday 24th March, and then return for a home game at Deepdale, Preston where Iceland will be the opposition on Monday 28th March. The emphasis is that this is Pearce's last extended get-together for his players before he chooses his UEFA Under-21 European Championship squad that will play in Denmark this summer, and therefore as many players have been chosen for the two matches. The squad is as follows:

Nathan Baker (Aston Villa), Joe Bennett (Middlesbrough), Ryan Bertrand (Chelsea), Steven Caulker (Bristol City - loan from Tottenham), Kieran Gibbs (Arsenal), Ben Mee (Leicester City - loan from Manchester City), Kyle Naughton (Leicester City - loan from Tottenham), Micah Richards (Manchester City), Chris Smalling (Manchester United), James Tomkins (West Ham United), Kyle Walker (Aston Villa - loan from Tottenham)
