Yeovil Town midfielder Jean-Paul Kalala has exited Huish Park, signing for fellow League One side Bristol Rovers. The 28 year old is to head up the A37 after agreeing to a move to the Memorial Stadium. Rovers are believed to have taken over his contract with the Glovers until the end of the 2010-11 season.
JP made 95 appearances for the Glovers across two spells, which included being a major part of the side that reached the League One play-off final at Wembley during the 2006-07 season. He left the club to sign for Oldham Athletic at the end of that season, but re-signed in the summer of 2009 for a second spell after failing to settle at Boundary Park.
Kalala will be remembered as a fully committed player who frequently got himself on the wrong side of the law - one of his two red cards this season came against Bristol Rovers as he picked up two quick yellows in succession. But his presence brought bite to Yeovil's midfield that has only now been rivalled by the permanent signing of Paul Wotton, who is his natural replacement.
We wish him the best of luck in his career, and say thanks particularly for being part of that Wembley season.
