League One side Charlton Athletic have become the second club in the division to dispense with their management team today. Phil Parkinson, plus his assistant Tim Breacker and first team coach Mark Kinsella have been sacked today, following their 2-4 home defeat against Swindon Town last night.
The match against The Robins was live on Sky Sports, and was the Addicks' first match to be played under new ownership, and Parkinson had said pre-match that he was due to have an introductory meeting with his new bosses. That first meeting turned out to be his last meeting, as they have opted for a clean sweep today.
Charlton haven't won a League match since their 3-2 win over Yeovil Town. As yet they've not appointed a caretaker management team, although one of the coaches that does remain at present is former Glovers goalkeeping coach Ben Roberts, who had only moved up to South-East London on Christmas Eve.
