Yeovil Town have suffered a second backroom staff departure over the Christmas and New Year period, with the club's physio leaving Huish Park. Simon Baker, who was a former Reserve and Youth Team player for the Glovers, has left the club "to explore new avenues in life that will afford him more time with his family".
Simon had been part of the management team since replacing Wayne Jones in the summer of 2009, and had formerly worked in Yeovil Hospital, where he met first team coach Darren Way, working as a physiotherapist to help deal with Darren's rehabilitation following his car crash.
Simon's departure follows swiftly after Ben Roberts chose to take up a goalkeeping coach position at Charlton Athletic. The very best of luck to Simon in his future career, wherever it may take him.
