League One side Southampton look likely to give tonight's Huish Park attendance a welcome boost, although their travelling volumes may fall short of last season's figures. The Saints travel to Huish Park tonight (kick-off 7.45p.m.) to play the Glovers, and report that as of yesterday they had sold 1,350 tickets for the match.
Last season, Southampton took 1,860 supporters, in terms of their official following, although there appeared to be a number who had quietly sneaked into home areas, giving Yeovil Town their best home gate of the 2009-10 season with a total of 7,484 inside the ground.
This season, the Saints have sold 1,000 terrace tickets and 350 stand tickets, with 150 seated tickets still available to their families, senior citizens and disabled supporters. In addition, they put on sale a second batch of 500 terrace tickets at St Mary's yesterday and so should boost their current sales before the game, although may not quite match last season's figures.
Given the larger-than-usual crowd, and the tendency for supporters to arrive close to kick-off for evening matches, we'd advise you allow a little bit of extra time for getting into the ground tonight.
