Yeovil Town have taken 25 year old French centre-back Kevin Lacroix on trial. He was born in Paris on October 13th 1984 and last season was on the books of German side Eintracht Trier who play in the German Regionalliga.
According to one European statistics website, Lacroix played 22 times for Eintracht last season, scoring one goal. During the previous season, he played 33 times for the same side, scoring two goals.
The Regionalliga is the fourth tier of German football and includes a fair number of Reserve Team sides of Germany's more prominent clubs. Those who travelled for Yeovil's 2005-06 pre-season tour will recall the Glovers playing Preußen Münster and a Bayer Leverkusen Reserve side. Both play at Eintracht's level.
Kevin has also played for Sportfreunde Lotte and has represented France at Junior level. Although he is French, he is almost certainly the 'German' central defender that manager Terry Skiverton has referred to in previous interviews.
Kevin came on as a second half substitute in this afternoon's 0-1 home defeat against Swansea City.
