Ciderspace News Page : On To Victory takes a sabbatical
6 January 2005 : On To Victory takes a sabbatical
Jon Hartley and Seb White, co-editors of the excellent Glovers fanzine On To Victory, have requested we post the following statement:

Dear readers and supporters of On To Victory,

Many of you may have noticed that it has been sometime since the last issue of OTV. To start with we would like to say sorry that it has not materialised, but it does lead us on to another decision. We the co-editors (Seb and Jon) have decided to put OTV on hold for the time being. At this point it is important to state, that we are not killing off the fanzine! Since our first issue at the Trophy final, it has been something that we have enjoyed and been immensely proud of.

It was the point where preparing the fanzine was taking more time that our lives outside of Football would allow. We hope that if this changes in the future we can return in a blaze of glory.

We would like to thank all the contributors and supporters of the fanzine, and hope that we call on you if and when the next issue arises. In addition the support from all the supporters groups and the club itself has been nothing less that superb, thank you!! A special mention has to go to Ciderspace. Thank you lads, for the use of photos and promoting the fanzine.

When we started the fanzine we always wanted to give back to the club. Initially we wanted to buy equipment to nurse the then ploughed field of a pitch. Thankfully it had a transplant and we were able to start by sponsoring 'the gaffer'. The fanzine has given well over £1,000 to YTFC since our creation as well as donations to the DSA.

Thank you for buying the fanzine and we hope that you will be able to do so again. Watch this space!

Cheers,

Jon Hartley and Seb White
Co-editors of On To Victory Fanzine

We're sorry that Jon and Seb have decided to suspend publication for the time being, but fully understand and appreciate the pressures at work and home which has led them to take this step. Many thanks to Jon and Seb and all the contributors to the fanzine for all the entertainment they've provided in the past, it will be missed. Here at Ciderspace we hope that it won't be too long before On To Victory is back, bigger and better than ever. Take it easy in the meantime boys...
