Glovers manager Gary Johnson has been named as the Manager of the Month in Coca Cola League Two for December 2004. It represents his second such award of the season having also picked up the September 2004 award.
During December, Yeovil managed a clean sweep of all results - six league wins and one FA Cup win over Histon. They also netted 16 league goals in the process - at least double all their rivals with the exception of Swansea City on 13. That run took the Glovers to the top of League Two for the first time since September, just after the Glovers had beaten Oxford United 6-1.
Thus the Sky panel judgement became a complete no-brainer and panel chief Chris Kamara said of the award: "Johnson has formed a side with balance, solid defensive qualities and has an outstanding striker in Phil Jevons. He thoroughly deserves this award."
League One winner was Hull City's Peter Taylor whilst the Championship winner was Sheffield United's Neil Warnock.
