Yeovil Town manager Terry Skiverton has today confirmed that the club have made an offer to free agent Lee Trundle. The striker is without a club after Championship side Swansea City decided against making him an offer of a return to the Liberty Stadium, despite fellow Championship side Bristol City having released him at the end of last season.
Speaking to BBC Somerset, Skiverton states that he hopes to land the 33 year old as one of his new signings, but expects to have some stiff competition from higher league clubs:
"We have spoken, but he is a Championship type player. A few years ago he was worth something like a million to 1.5 million. So we've made an offer to him, and he's mulling it over, but there will be Championship clubs out there who will be interested in him. We'll just have to wait and see."
