Former Yeovil Town loan player Andros Townsend has been given a new contract by Tottenham Hotspur. The left-winger, who completed the 2008-09 season on loan at Huish Park, has been given a deal until the summer of 2013, suggesting that Spurs have big plans for the teenager, who appeared on their first team bench in the FA Cup earlier this season in their Quarter-Final tie against Fulham.
This season, Andros has been out on loan at Leyton Orient and Milton Keynes Dons, but following his FA Cup call-back from stadium:mk, he has remained at White Hart Lane, and the new contract suggests that Spurs are pleased with his current progress.
